In this role, you will:

  • Write, write, write! From bite-size paragraphs for the weekly newsletter to catchy one-liners on social media, this position will hone in on your writing skills.
  • Help manage internal Communications platforms such as MailChimp, SurveyMonkey and REACH Media Network.
  • Assist Graphic Designers with design of print and digital collateral.
  • Adhere to brand guidelines and complete projects according to deadlines.
  • Receive feedback from team members and make necessary changes.
  • Support the Communications team as needed. This may include some external initiatives as well, like participating in advertising campaigns or writing a press release.

Position Requirements

Qualifications We Require:

Education:

  • Full-time college student pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or Marketing with a GPA of 2.5 or better.

Other:

  • Candidate must be a US citizen.
  • Student must live within commuting distance of the Lab.
  • Must be available to work a 18-20 hours per week during school sessions and 40 hours per week between school sessions (ex: spring break, summer break, and winter break).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Fantastic communication and messaging skills including writing, listening and public speaking.
  • The ability to listen to direction and navigate competing priorities.
  • Great note-taking skills.

Qualifications We Desire:

  • Photography skills are a plus.
