Are you ready to dive head-first into groundbreaking science? Jefferson Lab seeks a dynamic Engineering Division Manager to lead the charge on multiple large-scale projects. This team provides engineering resources to support Jefferson Lab’s Continuous Electron Beam Accelerator Facility (CEBAF) and several DOE O413 construction projects, including the MOLLER Project and multi-lab partnership projects such as the Electron-Ion Collider Project, the LCLS-II-HE Project and the SNS Proton Power Upgrade Project. The Engineering Division provides world-leading expertise in cryogenic and accelerator engineering disciplines.

In this role you will:

  • Lead and manage the Engineering Division, which provides engineering services to all technical programs at Jefferson Lab
  • Direct staff and manage budget to deliver laboratory commitments to the CEBAF program and the portfolio of construction projects
  • Foster and encourage constructive partnerships with other technical divisions to further the goals of the nuclear physics program and other laboratory priorities
  • Design and oversee a Systems Engineering framework for Jefferson Lab, in coordination with the other Science and Technology divisions
  • Support overall laboratory project goals and technical performance within cost and schedule requirements

Qualifications We Require:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the relevant technical areas of large-scale technical systems in a research environment including at least 5 years in a management position, with broad and in-depth project management and/or project leadership experience.

Qualifications We Desire:

  • Advance degree in Engineering, direct experience in accelerator-based research facilities
  • Experience in DOE O413 project management is highly desirable
